New Text Messaging

Beechworth Surgery now has a new text messaging communication service through Automed Systems.

To assist in you feeling confident that the message is secure and from us it will always be sent via the same mobile

number.

There is also access through AMS connect mobile app where you can view messages and keep track of your

appointment bookings.

Please read below for further information.

 

Clinic Communications

You may receive SMS, In-App and/or email reminders from us for upcoming appointments, Bulk bill consignments, reviewed no action test results, health information and invoices with secure payment link.

SMS messages will be sent from this number: 0418 172 894. By saving this number as Beechworth Surgery SMS you can be assured that the message is from us.

Messages that contain a lot of content may include links that you need to click to access the additional information, these links will contain automedsystems.com.au or automedsystems.au. If the messages contain clinical information, you may be required to enter your date of birth (ddmmyyyy) as an additional security measure.

Please note this mobile number is only a messaging service and cannot be used to call the surgery.

AMS Connect Mobile App: Head to the Apple App Store or Google Play Store to download the AMS Connect Mobile App. Once downloaded: · Search for our clinic · Click Select and proceed to enter your Date of Birth, First Name, Last Name and Mobile Number · Remember to tick the Terms and Conditions.

Details Match – If the data you have entered matches what we have on file, you will be sent a Pin Code as an extra security measure. You will be able add additional family members, with each requiring their details to match the data in our records and a Pin Code which will be sent to the matching mobile number.

Details don’t Match

If the data doesn’t match, you’ll be prompted to check the details you have entered. If you are unable to proceed, please give us a call, as we may have to update your recorded details.

Online Payments

We may require you to enter your card details at the time of booking to either pay a deposit towards the appointment, or for us to securely tokenise your card so that payment can be processed automatically after the appointment. Please note that this is a PCI compliant secure payment system and that at no point will your card details be visible to any members of staff or 3rd parties.

Opting out of Communications

You may opt out of our SMS service by replying STOP to an SMS and we will, if possible, revert to emails or In-App messaging instead. Email communications will contain an Unsubscribe option.

Please note that communications from the clinic contain important information and we strongly recommend that you engage with our digital platforms.
